Sharper not going to the Bengals!?!

Apparently it is Landon Johnson's job to lose, so Marvin Lewis said his goodbyes to Jamie Sharper, who had visited the team, without Sharper reaching a deal with the Bengals.

Although Lewis did not rule out pursuing a cornerback, he has apparently given his blessing to Landon Johnson, last years starter while Nate Webster was rehabbing from two surgeries eliminating the need for Sharper.

This can only be good news for those who wish the Seahawks would sign Sharper, as there is now one less competitior for his services out there. The Seahawks will still need to find some money however, as they are (at least right now) cap strapped.

Where does this info come from?

Never mind, I'll bet the title is a link to the article.

  7. So what's with the Seattle Times writing three lines on Sharper, as an afterthought in their Seahawks coverage today?

He's only one of the most valuable free agents left on the market!

The coverage in the PI is always so much better.
